A Solid "D" Student

I see my blog looks like crap with just one post.   I certainly want it to look way better before I retire from blogging and move on to the next item on my bucket list.   I face several challenges in writing more posts.   Of course there is writer's block -- my mind is completely empty when it comes to selecting a topic.   Also I am sure any topic I select will be of no interest to anyone else so the writing seems quite pointless.   I am not good at proactive time waste.

The bigger challenge I face relates to the embarrassing fact that I don't write very well, I can't spell and my grammar sucks.  In 7th grade, children in Kent Ohio moved from a "S" and "U" grading system to the "A, B, C, D or F" scale.   In English I was a consistent performer at "D".   Sometimes I fell behind a bit and carried a D-.   A couple times I applied myself and pulled a D+.   But "D" was the rule.   My parents appreciated my consistency and were able to hand down a grounding even if I happened to lose my report card on the way home from school.

I am reading more and more blogs.  I think I saw a statistic there are 1000000000000000000000 blogs out there and for the ones I have seen, the writing seems pretty good.   I know the spelling should be mostly right because of spell check.  But why is it that all these people can write so much better than me?   I am sure I am as smart as most of them, right?

The good news is that none of this is important because I have no blog or twitter followers and I guessing nobody will ever read this.    My plan -- post away without spell check, grammar stress or even proofreading.   Blogging is fun.
